San Francisco, CA
AT&T Park | INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE
Collaborating with project architect HOK/Sport, Kwan Henmi was responsible for 1,000,000 sf of interior architecture and design. Interior design challenges of the project were complex, including negotiating stringent regulatory agency requirements with the City of San Francisco, and resolving life safety issues such as rapidly exiting 40,000 people at one time. Other challenges included accommodating a diversity of operations such as security, press, ATMs, lockers for concessionaires, more than 180 food service point of sale stations, television monitors, high end restaurants and private club facilities. Building materials, furnishings and equipment were specified considering durability, budget, aesthetics, building code requirements and the ability to withstand the San Francisco climate over time.
