Kwan Henmi is the Architect of Record for this 11-story student housing project for the California College of the Arts. The residential high-rise will contain 160 units, with 120 micro units and 40 suites.  Located at 9th Street and Mission in the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco, the project is a part of CCA’s multi-campus college, providing programs in studio arts, graphic design, and architecture.  This is the first micro-unit project to be approved by the San Francisco Planning Commission, and is seen as a benefit for providing new, quality housing for students.  As a sustainable GreenPoint Rated building, the design includes a vented rainscreen system, with a fully landscaped green roof, a photovoltaic roof trellis that offsets electrical consumption , and green interior finishes.  Each unit includes a full kitchen and private bathroom, with state of the art technology.

Workshop1 was the design architect.
