BART | SUSTAINING TRANSIT ARCHITECTURE SERVICES

Kwan Henmi provided system-wide transit architecture related services. Beyond architectural services, a wide range of disciplines were provided, including: forensic architecture, acoustical and vibration, waterproofing, signage, industrial design, landscape, arboriculture, urban planning, lighting, art, security, and environmental. Projects are on a work order basis and vary in scope and composition. 

Key projects include: Powell Street Station Waterproofing, Lighting, and Ceiling Study; 19th Street Oakland Station Canopy; Lake Merritt Station Landscape, Lighting & Community Plaza; Fremont Station Hearing Loop; Station Agents Restrooms Renovation; Underground Station Public Restrooms Study; Balboa Park Wayfinding; Capital Corridor Signage Project; BART Facilities Standards (BFS) Updates; Sustainability Guidelines Updates.
